When Krillin says it feels like they've been here for over a year, it's because this was the moment where they changed dubbing studios from Ocean Group to Funimation and we were left with no new episodes for almost a year and a half.

Also Dende's line response Krillin saying he's sorry for his loss, "Someone has to be." As someone who watched the series as they were working on it, there's definitely some nostalgia to rewatching the abridged, so it's good to see someone not familiar with it enjoy it.
