For us, it’s the standard weekend! Lots of recording, game night on Saturday after our Twitch stream, then dinner with friends Sunday! Oh, except one other new addition.
Meet Hexagon Mayonnaise Toe Cheese. Hex for short.
We took in this semi-feral stray on Wednesday. She’s soooo sweet when she’s getting pets but also loves to hiss and doesn’t come to us yet. We have a long road ahead of us until she’s a snuggle bug, but it’ll be worth it.
If yall have advice or personal stories about when you got your kitty, we’d love to hear it! Currently we have her in our master bathroom. Shes got places to hide, her food and water, and her litter box. She’s not interested in toys right now but she has plenty of them! We just feed her Churu and pet her. Sometimes we just sit by her for long periods of time. She doesn’t seem to mind it when we’re close but is weird about being pet. She’ll flinch or hiss pretty often. We’re going to keep her in this room until she’s opened up to us a bit more, then open up our door to our bedroom. It’ll be a while before we allow her to roam the house.
We are already SO in love with her it’s unreal.

We’re about to open up our master bath to our bedroom and let her roam! We’re waiting for under bed blockers from Amazon so she can’t just live under there 😅

2025-06-20 19:40:59 +0000 UTCHopefully she warms up to you fast! I got a cat that had been returned to the shelter twice before for being unfriendly and it took around 11 years for it to warm up to me (he had a fear of men cause he was picked up in the college town)
