Remember the girls are his second family so they're around him constantly - she definitely heard him play that song more than 100 times

No this story is so stupid that it's good. That is what Eminence in Shadow is, there is no way to take this seriously whenever Cid is involved. If there is only side characters and no involvement from Cid then there might be little more serious situation (sadly Cid is always involved in everything) :D

Omg the birds 😹😭

Shadow giving Rose power after flexing his piano skills is some mighty fine eminencing if I've ever seen it!

You definitely have the right idea. This show goes down a lot in enjoyment if you take everything seriously. It’s supposed to be making fun of the tropes and stuff so just having fun with it is the correct way in my opinion. Just keep doing your thing

I believe around this time in the story is when I theorized that Cid didn't get Isekai'd at all. He's still lying on the road in the real world, dying of injuries from truck-kun, and this whole world is just a wish fulfilment fantasy his mind is cobbling together in its last moments. Also the piano scene is one of my favorite Cid moments in the entire series. It's pique aura farming. NO ONE goes through the trouble that Cid does just to farm aura.

Sometimes people that go against shadow garden call the slime an artifact, but its because they do not believe the stuff they do is possible. One artifact has already been shown, Orb of Avris, but more will be shown so then you will maybe see why they think the slime is cheating. The only thing Cid did to those with possession/curse was to correct it. Like Nick said, those with a closer bloodline of the heroes, Olivier was only one of them but the most powerful, have so much magical power that the body cannot contain it. All Cid did was to allow them to utilize the power they already had. Since Elfs have longer lifespans and reproduce less frequently, they are more likely to have blood of the heroes, and why so few humans (reproduce quicker and dilute the blood) get the possession. I think the author just came up with a reason to have a lot of elfs around.

Wisdom of shadow, sometimes called words of shadow, are simple things that Cid tells or shows someone and they immediately become experts. It's why Claire is good at swordsman ship, even though he never really showed her anything and just let her whoop his ass. Cid didn't have the knowledge or ability to run a commercial empire like Gamma, but because he talked to her about basic economics she has the ability. I could give more examples, but it might get too close to spoiler level. I think its just to be silly over the top like everything else he does. He could tell them to rub two sticks together to make a fire, and 8 min later one of them would have made a zippo, and in another 15 Eta would have made a flame thrower.

Remember when you were wondering about all the birds Cid obtained in episode 15? I guess you can figure out what happened to them in this episode. Also thanks Taylor, there was a book that I read probably around 10 years ago that I could not for the life of me remember the name of. It was the first book in the Keys to the Kingdom series. Good to know it was real and not something I dreamed up.

So my understanding of how things work is that those descended from Olivier have an overabundance of magic(this was explained when they were going through all those memories and stuff.) that eventually goes out of control and turns them into those blob monsters. It's called possession, but it's more like a curse. Descendants have more magic than most. What Cid does, and he learned how to do it by experimenting on Alpha when she was a blob(Seen in Episode 2) and then the others learned how to do it, is he sort of uses his own magic to overcome their out of control magic. So there's a degree of mixing where they receive a portion of his magic, but they're also now in control of their own overabundance of magic, he uses his to tame theirs, which is why Alpha and the others are so incredibly strong. And it can be inferred, this is what I've gotten out of the last 17 episodes, is that every member of Shadow Garden was at one point possessed and then cured, either by Shadow or another member of Shadow Garden. Shadow definitely cured the Seven Shades which is Alpha and all them, and now Rose, but it's never implied that he cured anyone else which means all the other girls in Shadow Garden were cured by the Seven Shades or others. But that would make sense as to why every member of Shadow Garden is so strong to varying degree's. As for the slime, the Cult Priest dude from the lab comments on the slime so it's a natural thing in the world it's not exclusive to Cid or Shadow Garden. What appears to be actually be exclusive is HOW they're using the slime as he was shocked by that revelation. Body manipulation? Slime. Clothes? Slime. Weapons? Also Slime. Slime is clearly very versatile, presumably with the application of magic, and only Cid ever figured that out.

Nick

Cid for sure have some sort of luck manipulation or reality manipulation working behind the scenes that helps him out, it’s more of a passive ability that he probably don’t know about tho

Fenrir

Hahaha omg it is!! except Taylor’s not grumpy, I am (karlii) 😹😹😹

Holy shit the lore goes deep! Thanks for this! 🖤

Fun fact: notice how much focus there was put on how many steps did Alexia and Beta have to descend to reach the bottom. It might or might not be in part of a bit of how dedicated Cid was to his performance that he lugged a grand piano he stole down all those stairs xD Another fun fact: The black feather layed on keys of notes Si and Do, which a japanese person read as Shi Do, which combined gives Shido, which is japanese pronounciation of name Cid. Also for people who are urging you to "take it seriously", those people do not understand what this story is about and consume it on most superficial level possible. Don't take their words too seriously.

The way it was portrayed in this episode did not seem like he played them it almost seemed like he taught her the basics and she just came up with it. Interesting stuff!

Piano scene is absolute Cidema

To clear up some things! Claire isn't the same as the girl from the first episode, so yes that was Cid's sister. Girls who are possessed are born with that possession issue the cult just takes those girls to further experiment on them. Epsilon didn't actually compose anything Cid played all those songs for her or near her and she just copied them. However since these songs do not exist in this world she's being labeled as a composer.
