Fighting Gamma has to classify as a method of torture. She's so powerful but so clumsy that your better off fighting a steel wall!
On the other hand John Smiths antics have become a ticking time bomb for the Cult and Shadow Garden. Poor Rose was so disheartened and yet she doesn't have a clue on who she went up against.

Totally fair that you forgot, it was mentioned in season one's first arc:
The wolf dude doesn't mean literal children, "Children" is referring to the Cult's "Children of Diablos" which are the orphans & magically-gifted kids that the cult had kidnapped, brainwashed and raised to fight for them.
"First Children" are supposedly the powerful ones (example: the dude Cid fought in that classroom in S01E08) while "Second children" are mid, etc.

To be fair, the amount of exposition is about to decrease, so don't worry :D
So, as it turned out, the Cult had the same plan as Shadow - create counterfeit money until hyper-inflation sets in to bankrupt BOTH the MCA (the trade union) and Mitsugoshi. But the plan was not actually fully in motion yet.
The thing is, in this world paper-money and credit (public money-lending) is completely new and there is zero oversight. So, no one will realize inflation is actually happening at the rate it is until the amount of money is overwhelmingly higher, instantly triggering a hyper-inflation-scenario which then removes ALL value from paper bills at once. This would mean that anyone who does not own hard assets or gold (in coins or bars) or jewels would immediately be poorer than yesterdays beggars. The Cult probably wanted to exploit such a scenario to leverage their "hard" money over people and countries to exploit them (by lending it to them or fund influential private people/companies).
But Cid isn't interested in influence, he just does it to get rich XD

I love that John Smith maintained a cool pose after throwing them out of the window just in case they looked back at him while falling

I find it hilarious that the plan is exactly the same as the Cults

The Gamma fight makes this episode. I dont like the amount of talking about plans to crash the economy because this episode cut out a lot about Gamma's very sad past, some of the separation of duties between Alpha and Gamma, and more about how Mitsugoshi works (not as a store.)

Yeah it took me a few rewatches to fully get everything but as long as you kinda understand the general outline of the plan and what’s going on (ie make fake money, get caught, crash market, withdraw all the gold before everyone else, profit) the finer details aren’t as important and you can just enjoy John Smith being a menace to everyone including his allies

The exposition is a lot for this section/arc but it's really not that important so it's not that big of a deal to not catch it all.

Yeah the Dub is the way to go for anime with heavy exposition - Last episode Cid mentioned how he'd benefit and how he'd tell the girls after so they'd forgive him. Also so glad yall picked up on the fact that he wouldn't hurt the girls. Alot of people mistook his intentions as not caring about them but he does love the girls. He is big on not caring about anyone besides his family & his girls who he considers his second family (S1 heavily showed that he loved them but he will mess with them)
