I think he saw much more while kissing Historia's hand; such as, knowing when Marly was going to declare war, where/how to get positioned, and who he could manipulate (Falco) to make it all happen.

2025-09-03 21:41:29 +0000 UTCThe hand that Eren was kissing was Historia's hand at the medal ceremony. That's when some parts of the future really started opening up for Eren. But he didn't have access to his father's memories until the events of this episode. Also the Attack Titan can see the future memories of other Attack Titan holders ONLY. Also do you remember back when Zeke and Eren were talking about the euthanization plan in Marley? Remember how Eren mentions that he saw the memories of Grisha killing the royal family? He says that memory disgusted him. However what he left out was that it disgusted him BECAUSE he had to force Grisha to kill the royal family. Lastly, getting back to a previous point you guys made about Gabi and Eren being similar. Yes they are similar but they also differ in one important way. Gabi was raised to be the way she is, same goes with Reiner as well, however in this episode we discover, because Eren admits it to Zeke, that he has always been the way he is since birth. In short, Gabi is nurture whereas Eren is nature. P.S. Lastly, you can watch the intro after the next episode is over.

2025-09-03 17:58:43 +0000 UTCThat was Eren kissing Historia's hand at the end of season 3. Remember the first time he got that vision of his father confronting the Reiss family? When did that happen? Right when he kissed Historia's hand. We thought we knew what we saw but now we see that Eren saw this memory. He saw *himself* setting all of this in motion. He saw *himself* convincing his dad in the past. And maybe more. If you notice, that's when his personality shifts. As they're building the railroad, as they're training for Marley, etc. By the time he gets to the sea, he's completely different in attitude even in season 3. But it started there. Kissing Historia's hand showed him enough to mess with his view of the world. How much did he see? How would Eren react to a possibly pre- destined future? Or is life really pre-determined? Who has agency?
