2025-10-18 14:30:36 +0000 UTCWatching this in sub is taking some getting used to. I watched Bleach in dub and in my personal opinion this is one example where the dub sounds better to me. Johnny Yong Bosch absolutely kills it as Ichigo and I can't think of a single miscast or bad performance. I don't recall if either of you mentioned why you picked the sub, you've been pretty big on dub which is kind of a distinguisher from other channels. Also, Taylor keeps referencing 366 episodes which technically isn't correct. There's a currently airing Season 17 that currently increases the episode count by 36 episodes, soon to be 48, and it technically takes place before the last episode because they didn't originally animate it and they only recently got around to it. If I recall it was because Bleach got cancelled before they could animate the last arc so they wrapped it up on the second to last arc instead, could be misremembering though, I just know they cut it one arc short and skipped to the epilogue.

Truthfully though, I get where Taylor is coming from because the series takes a little time to fully introduce the world and characters so it can be a little slow compared to modern anime. The 1/2 to 1 episode comment fits well. People today have no patience.

2025-10-15 18:31:57 +0000 UTCSome of Taylor's predictions are wild. I love the eye-rolls from Karlii also. In this episode of the Manga, Kubo never named the candy shop owner. I think the community started calling him "hat and clogs" and the nickname kinda stuck. A better term than genetically modified soul would probably be artificially created soul.
