2025-11-17 15:31:13 +0000 UTCThe whole banishment was not a political move but a gift for the dwarves. justice must be carried out, whether Vesta was corrupt or not doesn't matter, he was still a minister and he was still struck. the scale of the attack is not relevant. By exiling them the king achieved three things. First justice is served. Second the exile will allow the 4 dwarves to serve the slime to the utmost of there ability without the potential for split allegiance. this achieves two sub goals. the first sub goal is it will make the 4 dwarves grateful to the king for removing that potential conflict and the second sub goal is that with the 4 working for the slime without reservations it would cause the slime to look on the 4 favorably and by extension the rest of the dwarven race. The Third reason for the exile is it buts a former military commander who the king trusts at the side of an unknown potential superpower. the thought here is that if he sees anything that he views as deeply concerning or dangerous to the dwarven people then he would report it to the king. At least this is my take on it.

2025-10-29 17:15:07 +0000 UTCThere’s a lot of weird translation choices here that kinda obscure the meaning of certain things. The biggest that verges on an actual mistake is the kings’s line at the end. In the original he actually says that the slime’s power is reminiscent of the Storm Dragon. Not in size (I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say our slime is nowhere near Veldora at the moment), but in aura. Which could mean a lot of things, like he can sense Veldora in Rimiru’s stomach, or Rimiru’s aura was changed by being named by Veldora. Open to interpretation for now.
