My original thought was if it ends up being a thousand hours of work, with no time fuckery, I would try to do 3 hours a day every day for a year. If it can be done like that it can be broken up by doing an hour of work in the morning and then two in the evening, once Powder gose to sleep. That way it shouldn't make too much of a difference to his job and he will still have time to give to Powder (and Vi).

2022-04-24 15:56:33 +0000 UTCIf we split the 1000 hours he'd need to do by lets say 40 hours for a 5 day work week he would need to do about 25 days of 8 hours of work.

2022-04-24 01:51:26 +0000 UTCIt is possible that Jaycifer could be pulled back to do paperwork with the world on pause, as I’ve seen it mentioned in other company fics that world hop

2022-04-23 19:56:30 +0000 UTC2nd chapter with Violet awake, and she's already charged ahead and caused problems for everyone, haha. I'm glad to see that Powder is able to take charge as a peacekeeper though, and that Jaycifer is able to take charge of the situation even with all odds stacked against him. Great chapter. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the deus ex machina device anywhere, even in a company fic, but it worked really well here. Death was fun to talk to, the banshee was an idiot but controllable, and Jaycifer's comments about Company Enforcers put it all into perspective. Rereading ACE 11 on QQ, I do agree with some of the initial comments... the line about his sin being Wrath was super chuuni, lmao. The chapter sings with a John Wick-Punisher-DOOM vibe though, so the more I pondered it, the more the theme fit. Even in John Wick, it comes up time and time again that no matter how reluctant John acts about picking up a gun, he can't stop his own wrath. So Jaycifer having the same trait circles from Chuuni back to cool. In summary, double kudos for both chapters.

2022-04-23 16:10:51 +0000 UTCAn enjoyable update certainly. It's interesting to see Jayce having difficulties convincing Vi about the current situation, it turns out that it is harder to convince someone when they are neither a child or willing to believe anything you say. It's also nice to see that Powder was trying to help Jayce, even at the expense of not helping Vi, although it does make me feel sad at the same time. And 1000 hours of work just to get his ribs put back in place, if he didn't have morals he'd probably regret not spending some points to get some sort of healer. I'm also rather curious on how that time will be used. Will he need to spend a few hours a day doing literal paperwork or will he be swept away for a few day/weeks/months on assignments. Either way it seems Jayce will be rather busy again. With regards to Vi in this update. I really enjoyed her PoV, even if it was rather upsetting to see the head space she is in right now (although she seemed to find her footing as the chapter went on). She seemed to come to the wrong conclusion on quite a few things due to just how out of context the current situation is but it's good to see that she is still willing to prioritise on getting Powder and herself to "safety".

2022-04-23 15:54:50 +0000 UTCIt’s interesting watching how confused the normal characters are to the stuff we already know about and understand. I completely get the misunderstanding the Banshee was coming from whilst also knowing the truth. Seeing Vi dig her own hole a little bit was also entertaining in that she’s not out of character and wrong to act the way she is.

2022-04-23 15:18:20 +0000 UTCGota love bureaucracy when it’s on your side, plus no one wants cultivator enforcers knocking on their door. Imagine one day your minding your one business and Vagita knocks on your door telling you are late on your payment. That should is scary.
