2023-03-29 20:01:56 +0000 UTCNo, it was meant that no one was Mastering Grace into going after Lee, and that everything she did was because that's what she wanted to do herself. Protocols is a Master power, though the weakest one on the CYOA, and it was the only one she had effecting her.

Except would that still work once her powers were disabled?

That is very reassuring because some authors just like making every story like Worm where everything gets worse over time because that is what they like to write. It's nice to know that the characters of your other stories won't randomly have everything go into a endless downward spiral.

The MC loses and gets is apparently going to be saved by a literal deus ex machina in the next few chapters. Or he'll just be dead I guess. I'm not sure why you decided to write the story in this 'Everything gets worse' direction ever since the S9 came onto the scene, but I'm not a fan of it. I hope it is just you copying the spirit of Worm's original sucky ending. Otherwise if I see similar long-term story direction developments in ur RWBY or others stories I'll probably have to drop those to avoid the bitter feeling the story going this direction is giving me. Either way though, thanks for the story up to this point. I did quite enjoy it in the beggining. Ever since the S9 arc though I've been barely hanging on a thread in this story, but after this I think any emotional investment I had in the story died. I'll still read the last few chapters to see what happens because I was very invested in it at one point, but I don't think I'll be able to conjure any excitement or derive any satisfaction no matter what developments unfold.
