I'm getting really annoyed with people claiming that Lee coming back would be a Deus Ex Machina. While Sting is the shard used for Entity v Entity combat its not a one hit kill weapon unless the user is insanely lucky to hit their core collective of shards that make up who they are rather then what they can do. While sting was used on lee it only verifiably hit the shards that make up what he can do. every one of those shards if hes aware he can disconnect at the base and pass on to someone else. that base the 'sea of flames' that's the core shards of who he is, thats never been in his head. The slaughterhouse 9 couldn't perceive those and sting might not have hit those. speaking of SH 9 what happened when a bunch of his shards were inexpertly removed, oh yeah he went into a coma. He could just as easily be in a coma right now except in his entity body instead of his Scion avatar.

2023-04-09 20:18:08 +0000 UTCHm. Are we getting an actual Wildbow style bad-end here? Bit disappointing, but very in the spirit of Worm. If Lee stays dead, and at this point he very well might. (That's a tentative might, I wouldn't put it past you to flip the board and skip the expected Deus Ex Machina and keep him dead for impact.) I hope Grace's competitive level dumbassery actually dooms the world to be squished by Abbadon. Sorta deserves it at this point TBH.
