DR 93

A Restful Stay.

Comments

So, according to Howl at the Moon, time passes 100x faster than it does for Steven's world. In the final chapters, Steven's first batch of children are still in elementary school when he tells one of his wives, Victoria aka Gloria, that he found Lee and wants to take her to meet him. https://forum.questionablequesting.com/threads/howl-at-the-moon.16922/page-42#post-5232160 But this chapter implies many generations have passed for the people on Steven's side when Steven should be the only one who experienced the 900 years through his extra bodies. What's up with that? Did he create a pocket dimension to stuff people in and recruited Wolf Faunus, or did his wives/bitches (that's what Waifu's are called in the CYOA Howl at the Moon used) also get extra bodies and those bodies had kid of their own or what?

I am almost certain that the wolf is a Cherico, probably the one from this Lee's basic training.

This was a very interesting interlude. Can't help but wonder what the initials SL stand for..

Daniel Einspanjer

On a second go through, that does make sense.

I think what they’re saying is “when three hours of your three days remain, we’ll warn you” Fae do tend to deal in 3’s.

Dunno if a beta reader looked this one over, but I spotted a typo. Mr. Sparkle first says their stay will last three days, and then shortly afterwards Heather says it’ll be three hours instead. Other than that, excellent work! Cannot wait to see the devastation of the Beacon Buster!

Magneato

This whole house reeks of the Fae. Has their handiwork written all over it. I wonder if Mr. Sparkle or this Ancestress Ishiyama is Lee's Patron?

Silent_Ninja10

Man I have no idea wtf is happening.

thevolunteer

They will not, though they will remember more than they should due to their innate... let's call it spell resistance, which their fellow Huntsmen do not possess.

PublicLee Speaking

Will the remember the name Lee Elric?

Zerak

It also helps that it's complete and utter bullshit, and Steven Sparkle (Protagonist from Cherico's Story 'Howl at the Moon') is just trying to help change things to help his friend, who, when he finally finds out, is... not going to be happy.

*shrug* Like everyone else I have been shaped by my experiences. I grew up in a Christian household so that's how I see it and that's how I would comment on it.

Steven Stiring

Not everyone is copying the Bible dude. That trope almost certainly existed before the Bible (I know at least 1 Greek myth that uses it) and it is a common trope in fiction. In fact, I've seen that trope more often than the Chosen One actually being recognized as such before the very end of a story.

David Hedges

Lmao. They made a whole ass prophecy for Jauncifer. That’s going to be hilarious to reveal later on considering how utterly clueless he currently is.

TravelerOfTime

I like the fact that Junicfer is being described as a savior while the people who have been told over and over again that he is a dragon are dismissing him from filling the role. Very much a "and they knew him not" parallel from the Bible. It's incredibly pretentious to do for a self insert character but self-inserts are usually pretentious in almost every other way so doing this gets a pass. Well at least for me, I can't speak for others when you post this on the form.

Steven Stiring

It is going to be such a treat when these two ships passing in the night finally catch sight of each other. Really hope one of those pamphlets make it back to our boy and the wizard.

Prospero

Thanks for the chapter!!
