That chapter was the sweet sweet sound of enforcing sanity and logic into the, weirdly, colorful and harmless world of lethal punch wizards, I mean ninjas of Naruto. I like the world-building a whole lot here since the author seems to be going with consistency and pragmatism for how the world operates. Without considering shippuden, the big demonstration of how high-level shinobi fights are supposed to go the fight between Hiruzen and Orochimaru is supposed to be the golden standard. And that confrontation was amazing in how it went and showcased what high level fight should be. And this latest chapter should be on big leap towards that kind of expectation since the academy and the genin are going to be very much retrained in that direction. Also I can't wait for us to get some proper OC's going and be introduced to some of the more AU elements here. I do wonder when the first true samurai and monks characters are going to show up long term ?

Ironically Danzo is partially right in that Kohana became weak, and that Root had to step in to keep the place standing. Now that isn’t to say that Danzo didn’t go about this in the stupidest way possible and that he didn’t cause more damage than good. But that with the Hokage stepping in and fixing a lot of systematic problems Danzo might back off, now the problems he set in motion are ongoing and Danzo is still ninja Satan but the need for a real black ops group has always been there in Naruto. Hopefully we get to see some real and competent groups that exist, and maybe some that report to the Hokage and some that don’t. It would be hilarious if they all consider Root to be posers
