The Waifu Thief Part 6
Added 2024-04-10 03:07:58 +0000 UTCIn Which I Punch An Old Lady In The Face
This is a continuation of MG 18, the Percy Jackson one!

I though I recognized the line from somewhere. It was certainly one of the best PJO fics I ever read. Pity it went silent. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

2024-04-10 20:00:16 +0000 UTCOooooooh. See, if you can’t tell, the subtleties went right over my head. I just thought Gene, and thus you as the author, might not have known lol. My bad!

2024-04-10 18:40:06 +0000 UTCYes, though the degree of the separation is up in the air, depending on how things are laid out. Aphrodite's multivariate nature makes her particularly vulnerable. It's really another reference to the very good PJO/Mythos fic 'An Undertow of Sand', but it extends further than that.

2024-04-10 18:39:54 +0000 UTCI believe it's a reference to the fact the books have the Roman aspects of some gods being so distinct as to almost be a separate personality, although Venus/Aphrodite is notable for being the same, so her personality/mind is 'whole'. I think.

2024-04-10 15:59:17 +0000 UTC"Lighting lashed out, three bolts in quick succession, though, thankfully, nowhere close to us, the moment after I dropped my connection to Zeus’ Personal Godly Domain and Holy Shit Was I An Idiot." For all the times you present your characters as the experienced logical thinker that teaches and leads the characters around him, it's nice to see moments where you mess up like them as well. "Because while ‘Fire’ or ‘Storms’ or even ‘Magic’ could be easily understood as a thing, what, the fuck, was ‘Creation’?" Says the guy who became a dragon of creation in another world, though you haven't really expanded on that beyond anti Grimm fire. A very enjoyable chapter, though before I congratulate you on staying close to your goal I should probably ask if this is going to be multi part like WP2077.

2024-04-10 14:31:32 +0000 UTCVery enjoyable read. I am curious about the aphrodite is whole comment. Is that suppose to be a callback?

2024-04-10 12:40:32 +0000 UTCThis chapter just gets better if you imagine it from the perspective of one of the poor mortal sods on the bus trying to figure out what the actual fuck is happening. It's like 50% Old Man Henderson (wait... is Gene his first name or his last name? who knows) and 50% Hell's Grannies from that Monty Python sketch (https://youtu.be/9_OIs49m56E).

2024-04-10 09:33:53 +0000 UTCEros is a Primoridial, NOT a Titan, but there isn't the framework for the locals to get exactly what that means, which is why Chiron was scared shitless, but Annabeth, missing the distinction, goes 'Oh, so you're strong. Okay.'
PublicLee Speaking
2024-04-10 05:49:37 +0000 UTCHonestly, they're closer to Cthuloid Great Old Ones than anything in the setting, but the framework isn't there for most people to get it, though it will eventually be built out on (assuming it continues to get Kofi Commissions, of course!).
PublicLee Speaking
2024-04-10 05:48:24 +0000 UTCSo, yes, but honestly grouping them in (kind of) with the Titans is the closest thing any Greek Demigod's gonna get, understanding wise, but is why more learned people, like Chiron, just about shit themselves in fear when they realize what Gene is, and are 100% willing to go along with his 'I'm just a Demi-Titan, teehee!' act.
PublicLee Speaking
2024-04-10 05:47:04 +0000 UTCI wouldn’t call MC a half titan. If so then what would you call the child of a titan and mortal? A half god? I know it’s weird but Demi-primordial makes it clear he is the child of one, half titan while not technically wrong makes someone think child of a titan. If this is confusing then you know it’s a Greek pantheon family circle. Wait is Eros a titan or primordial?

2024-04-10 05:11:38 +0000 UTCYou know that protogenoi are NOT titans or titan adjacent right? They are literally the embodiment of concepts, existing on their own power with no need for anyone or anything else? Titans primarily came from Gaea and Ouranos who were both protogenoi. Protogenoi are to titans what titans/gods are to mortals.
