Not really. Soul Talent gives one more talent in a field, but it's more like just having the person spend extra time showing you how to do what they're doing, be they enemy or ally, along with the possibility of slowly developing some talent in it yourself, but almost always to a lesser degree than they can, unless the spend no time improving for years or decades. The Sharingan just outright goes 'Yoink!' and takes it outright, at its full strength, but in the stupidest way possible, in a way that doesn't confer any skill, just a 'press X to Jutsu' mental button. It's why Kakashi plays 'Anything you can do I can do better' games with enemy Nin using it. One is almost flattering in a 'What you're doing is cool and I want to learn to do it too' way, the other is insulting in a 'Pfft, this isn't that impressive, look, I can do it too!' way. Also, yeah, Sasuke was trying to help, which is why Li gave him a mild rebuff instead of, say, kicking him out of training for the next few days, or something similar as a punishment.

Granted Naruto showing you step by step how it’s done is implicitly giving permission to copy it. Not the smartest idea to copy an unknown technique on an empty tank, but can’t fault him for copying it.

Thank you again for not leaning heavily in the harem direction. Those stories can be fun, but at least to me they are way to immersion breaking.

I'm fairly certain that if naruko gives that to the library she would make absolute bank from every jonin that wants to learn it cause it would make infiltration and assassination missions so much easier. So ya a debrief with anko seems needed. I wouldn't be surprised if it got added to the forbidden scroll cause it represents a massive potential security breach if it got out.

A nice training filler chapter, Naruko pretending to be Naruto, reacting to Lee is always good for a chuckle. I liked the shadow clone reveal, but found it a bit lacking. Part of me is saying Li should have reported it to Anko, who as someone who's done a lot of wetwork would be just as aware of the implications of using the henge variant for infiltration as Haku was, leading to all sorts of possibilities.

2024-06-23 18:47:49 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure he's filling in the many gaps in the number of kido with what makes sense. The show only shows about a dozen of each of the offensive and defensive kido. As for the healing kido they had any besides a general get better one but there wouldn't be an entire division dedicated to it if it was a single spell anyone could learn. Healing in show was generaly covered by inoue's time/reality manipulation powers.
