2024-09-05 12:38:26 +0000 UTCThe way I go about this is that they're good at picking up clues, but they can't pick up clues out of nowhere, and with their incomplete data set, if they hear hoofbeats they'll think of Horses, not Zebras, and definitely not something really out-of-context like a dude clapping two coconut halves together. So they'll get some stuff, but miss others, and might hyperfixate on something wrong because it matches their previous understanding, leading them astray.

If it wasn't for CE's (correct) belief that the Monster Empowerment is coming from a single source, they'd still seem disorganized, but with the example of Crystal to use to get to his conclusion, the empowered monsters all need to have been in the same place to get empowered, thus, organization!

And for Child Emperor to be focused on all the many weird things coming out of the graduating class shows the true expected competency of S class heroes. Nicely done. I assume the monsters getting organized and enhanced is due to Stacy fucking up again...
