That's honestly why i'm thinking Pyrra is gonna get comma'd or seriously injured by Cinder. The Jauncifer will have to rely on the others or abandon Pyrra while she recovers...which would propbably tank this fics popularity due to how OOC it'd be. It be amazing if it was Yang instead of Weiss that helped him the most though, kinda a full circle thing.

2024-12-05 13:26:05 +0000 UTCYeah, the writers (who have made it clear they didn't like being shown up by Monty, felt insecure that he was the big name that drew people in and not them, and from their own interviews apparently refused to work with him) split up the 'Pyrrha Vs. Cinder' Fight into two parts, gave Monty's friend the first half (which you can tell) as they promised they would after Monty's death, but then they broke it up with a mostly unneeded short cutaway so they could hand teeeeeechnically not be breaking their promise as they handed Pyrrha's death scene to someone that they said was, according to Monty's friend, 'more deserving'... Which is why it was so god-awful. Like, giving the writing for late V3+, they self-report their own values enough that... it karmically probably should've died in V5.

2024-12-05 08:51:07 +0000 UTCI think this chapter is pretty important because it shows just how mentally fragile Jauncifer is. For most men, waking up with a cute ice princess and a fat assed cat girl who is practically a princess as well is a start of a fantastic day. Jauncifer started out liking it, but as the time went on without Pyrrha Jauncifer moves from quiet contemplation about his situation to a full on existential crisis. Pyrrha had to calm him down with a kiss and loving words on how she'll never leave him. Jauncifer has issues , ones witch will never really get solved until someone pushes him out of his comfort zone in order to start helping him deal with his inner demons. Probably Weiss as soon as she joins the harem fully, witch will probably happen soon if the chapter is anything to go by.

2024-12-05 05:39:45 +0000 UTCSo this chapter leaves me somewhat discontented. The content was good, there was nothing in the chapter itself that brought the discontent. But the chapter covered about 5 minutes, and could be summed up in less than a paragraph if no for jauncifercs inner musings. Normally I’m fine with the inner monologue, having a character show their thoughts for us to observe helps show the growth and adaptation of the cast. Normally I’d be all for it… but with how infrequently this story updates, a single chapter covering litterally “ we woke up and I told the girls to shower…” is IMMENSELY dissatisfying.

2024-12-05 05:16:51 +0000 UTCyeah far as I know most of the crew are not great and so most of the good bits of show were from the guys that animated the fight scenes monty being one of them and they only let the other guy (who's name I can't remember) touch the Phyrra/Cinder fight as long as they handled the conclusion (or something like that my memory is foggy on the subject)… and we all know how that turned out.

2024-12-05 01:03:38 +0000 UTCI don’t think so. That would derail almost all of Jaune’s development because he doesn’t have Pyrra anymore. I think Cinder is going to get shut down hard, if she even does the same stuff as before. Too much as happened, cannon won’t go the same, and Pyrra’s death was always dumb to begin with.
