Good but not nice. Yeah, that can be used to described your SI's. Still at this rate you are going to break Aang, and I'm not sure if he's going to go into the kind of depression he was in when he thought he had to kill Ozi, or go full Avatar State to try and destroy the thing that broke him, AKA you.

Steven Stiring

I think Aang is more “I don’t murder people”. He only kills in self defense. Even then, his air bending is a lot less harmful than any other bending. I know he said that he never killed in that turtle episode, but they really should’ve said either “murdered” or “killed in cold blood” or “assassinate” to really show that he is sticking to his way of the Monks.

Harley Shockley

Not to mention slicing the ships while in the avatar state at the end of season 1 and dragging zhao off...and while not as direct, you know the crew of the drill were killed by the earth kingdom in that episode.

Joseph Fera

lol Natto! tried that stuff once...couldn't eat it, almost ralphed.

Which fits his canon characterisation, if you remember the Northern Air Temple; Those tanks he blew off the side of a mountain, full of people who super died when it hit the ground, but not people he saw die, so...

He's not that naive, but he plays dumb because, clearly, if he pretends everything is okay, then he didn't wake up into nightmare version of his old world, a world he no longer recognizes, full of death and pain, where people do monstrous things without blinking and everyone else's just okay with it. He knows those pirates are probably dead, but he didn't see them die, and if he assumes that at least some are alive, and know they did a bad thing, that makes it better, right?

Uh oh, battle maniac detected

NOPE YOU DON'T KNOW MY NAME

This is not canon Avatar so not exactly normal, but Aang is mostly that naive yes. His entire Backstory before his character development can be resumed to naive pacifist monk trainee going on a "Journey". Classic hero journey story really. That plus the show generally avoided actual fatal cosnequences almost everywhere, which is not a thing here.

Guilherme Bezerra

I really can’t get Aangs world view here, it just isn’t computing. How is the Avatar this niave? Shouldn’t all those past lives be showing through is some odd ways especially as this is a very AU verse? I understand that focusing on Zuko is easy but man the gaang need some character development. Great writing though, and enjoyable to read!
