Honestly I’m getting subtly invested into the Cinder and Jaune dynamic then I probably should. I could go at length how the story has put her in a position where Cinder could have some character development, how she could perceive or rationalize her situation. Enter Jaune, the source of all the power she could want, and though she would never admit it to herself, protection and intimacy. The problem is her current self, an enemy spy, assassin, and saboteur with no real reason or attempt to redeem herself. The potential psychological, social, and sexual analysis of a relationship that should be toxic actually be good for them both makes me crave a reverse corruption of Cinder while Jaune begins to come to terms with his instincts and some of his insecurities. The drama of both “catching feelings” as Jaune using his forgotten amoral company training to flip her from Salem to him. On the other hand Jaune experiences his newfound dominance side with someone he doesn’t like only to begin to find Ella to begin to be considered his. His almost instinctive attempt to help her save herself accidentally begins to seduce her to his side when she intended the opposite. I know Lee has chosen not to pursue a Cinder route but again this is the type of unintended relationship and accidental romance drama that could write a book on its own. Alas I’m not good enough to write about it.

I wonder if this is Pyrrha trying to get Jaune to instead lean on Weiss or if she is just locking the fuck in for a tournament arc.
