Had a random thought while reading this, the next modern like setting you do, why not give you protag Alloymancy and Feruchemy? Make them a Fullborn, someone who can use all metals from both those fields. Someone like that, who knows what they're doing, is disgustingly overpowered in a modern like setting.

And yeah, I'm going to avoid the comment section when this is posted simply because I know a lot of people will scream about the blackface thing, even though this Lee is just a bunch of bacteria ((?) I can't remember what the guy in Prototype was made out of) so he technically isn't even human and therefore melanin levels don't apply to his race. To be honest I liked the training part much better than the argument/betrayal to the military. The self conformation bias of inventors was well thought out and very helpful in the situation. So adding another part, I'm very much okay with that. You've been getting a lot better on the chapter sizes after the end of the Wave Arc for NWD so I won't expect this in the future, but it's nice to have it now.
