The hack situation

First off, let me thank you all. Your incredibly generous support has made this whole situation way less stressful than it would be otherwise.

Now, why did you get so many notifications yesterday?

I was hacked. Someone managed to get into my account, and they unlisted all of my videos, and uploaded some weird bot generated bitcoin scam content to my channel. Thanks to the amazing support of the one person I trust with my YT login info, everything was secured almost immediately, and now it's just a matter of working things out with YouTube so that they know that my account is back in my hands, and that they don't have to take any further action.

During this verification process, my videos aren't going to be appearing in people's recommendations, or even searches. For that reason, I'm not going to cripple any work I do by uploading it under such conditions. I'm going to wait until everything is back to normal, and it's like it never happened. Then, and only then, will I resume public uploads.

As for Patron early access, I'm probably going to do a mix of normal video production, and working on larger videos I wouldn't get the opportunity to work on otherwise. So any content that I *do* finish before my channel is back to status quo will be given to patrons early, as usual, but for the next couple of weeks, I'm not going to be following my normal weekly upload schedule.

On top of the turbulence that's being caused by this temporary change to the visibility of my channel, I'm going to be reinstalling Windows in order to make sure I'm virus free, as I suspect that direct access to my computer is how the hacker was able to gain access to my account, in spite of my two-factor authentication. Reinstalling Windows will of course slow me down for a couple of days, especially because I've got such slow internet, and it'll take me a while to redownload all of the applications and stuff that I need to make my videos.

TL;DR, A hacker completely screwed me over, but I'm pretty confident that things will be back to normal in a couple weeks. In the meantime, I'm not promising my usual weekly uploads. I'll instead be focused on getting my security where it needs to be, and working on larger projects that I wouldn't normally have time for.
