Lilac Character Design (OC) -- Exclusive 2 of 4 (7/23)
Added 2023-07-17 22:34:16 +0000 UTCI've had Lilac as an OC for a while now, I just don't draw her that often. I'm still coming up with a more permanent overall design for her, which is reflected here. I want her to have a bit of a bright, bubbly aesthetic, with inspiration from pastel goth, e-girl, and soft grunge aesthetics. Whenever I design a character, I naturally lean into incorporating some edgy techwear detail, but I didn't want to go too overboard with Lilac, as I wanted her to have some softness to her. Hence, the flower pattern hoodie, the bright hair. I also have a preference for, and a tendency to incorporate, a lot of black and dark colors, so I had to actively steer away from that for her.
Does anyone have any input, or advice on what else I can do for this character design? What would her design benefit from adding, or losing? Let me know in the comments. c:

The torn mesh stockings were a fun little option, they aren't going anywhere. ;D

2023-07-25 03:37:11 +0000 UTCLoving the design as is, so I can't really suggest much. I will say that she needs to leave those thick, heavy socks alone and stick with those torn mesh stockings though! 🤤 I find those to be a wonderfully accentuating part of her look! 🤤
