Schools are back in England, life is back to normal again. My little sister is turning into a spoiled brat lately, she’s been acting extremely rude to my Mum and I’m not having it, so I’ve started standing up for my Mum and she’s being really rude to me!! I don’t know if it’s her age (she’s 12) or she’s picking up behaviours from the kids at her school, but I don’t remember acting like that at 12. Driving lessons have been a nightmare because the car I’ve been learning in at home has broken down, and I haven’t been able to drive in a month besides lessons. I feel like my progress isn’t good and I need my license in the next 5 months. I can do parallel parks, front bays, basically everything, my biggest problem is driving in traffic. It feels like my clutch control at roundabouts and junctions isn’t totally automatic yet, I have to get used to the bite point each time because I don’t drive enough. ;( We’re getting our broken car back soon (hopefully) and I’m hoping to do my test in the car, but I’m very worried about it breaking down again, they can’t seem to find what the problem is and it’s very old. My parents want a new car but this time for it to be automatic, and there’s no way I could get insured on this new one.

I’ve super stressed recently about a school application, the deadline is cutting it close and the reason it’s taking so long is because of the UK’s health system. I am required by the school to provide a certificate of health (everything else is completed, I even completed a short foundation course to be eligible to apply to this school). I have been trying to get this information for over months, calling multiple times a week and sending so many emails. The system here is just SO SLOW!! No urgency for anything. I’ve had to get my mum to ring up to be more rigorous with them as well. I wasn’t able to find out my blood type, because apparently we don’t test for that in England which I only recently found out, and I don’t have enough time to get it for the application. I’m just praying that the school is ok with that, otherwise I’ll probably have to go private using my savings and get it done as an emergency. I’ve been really panicky lately because going here has literally my dream for years and years and I’ve been saving money for it since 2021. I had to pay £42 for the health certificate, it was a signature on a piece of paper I’ve PRE-FILLED OUT! I handed it the secretaries last week (which was a MIRACLE because I’d been asking them to do this for 3 WEEKS!!), and they still haven’t completed it, and it’s marked as ‘URGENT’. The window to apply to this school is very short so I’m just really hoping they speed their asses up. ;( Some of the people on the phone have been so unbelievably rude to me, making me feel like crap even though I’m speaking to them politely. The lady said to me on the phone “Well if this was urgent, you should have given it at least 3-4 weeks to be done” and I literally said “I have been calling up and trying to get this signed for over a MONTH!”. I’ve had to get some new ID photos done and complete a load of paperwork. This whole application process has been a real headache. I just pray I can hand it in Monday and relax. Just really upset at the whole NHS thing, all that national insurance for this kind of treatment? I was denied a doctor’s appointment twice.

Anyway, apologies for the rant! I promise once this is through my upload schedule will be much better. I’ve been working on this application/pre-study for a while and it’s been the only thing on my mind. I did start playing Silksong last night however as it was added on gamepass. I killed that big silkworm boss today, (second boss) haha I was getting quite frustrated as I kept forgetting the keys. They’re something like Z to jump, X to attack and then the arrow keys to look/walk in each direction, and it was confusing. I remember raging so much when I first started playing bloodborne though, that first area was truly brutal for a new player.

Also, I ordered some new glitter makeup bits lately! I’m SO excited because apparently the lady who made this brand was behind some of the looks in Euphoria. When I got my ID photo done it had to be natural makeup and I realised how much I like to express myself with my makeup now, I used to hate glitter and things like that, but now I think these small differences make me who I am. :) I love the way it glimmers in the light, especially at the ice rink.
