There is a chance you may be falling asleep, but generally hypno-amnesia is taken as a sign that you went pretty deep. Oftentimes hypnotists will give suggestions to remember or forget the trance, but I don't really do heavy trances, so I usually ignore that. I might have to start adding that in!
