When I first saw it, I was angry and conflicted, but the more I thought about it, the happier I became! Marinette needed Alya so badly, I'm glad she did what she did. Even though it still makes me wonder "What about Chat?", I can see so many possibilities coming from this episode I can't wait to see where the plot goes from here

2021-04-19 21:23:59 +0000 UTCI related a lot to Marinette in this episode tbh, watching her mental health spiral with the weight of feeling like no one else understood her- especially with her new guardian status, a break up, the isolation, etc- I felt it was incredibly relatable and real for this to be tearing her up and the more it weighed on her the more she fell apart. My anxiety is just like that and it made me so sure she needed Alya, especially since Alya has proved her loyalty to both Ladybug and Marinette again and again. I was overjoyed to see this as a development and I canβt wait to see how Alyaβs role develops going forward! β₯οΈ

As much as I love Ladybug and Chat together (and ship them so hard, thank God theyβll be endgame), this felt like the right thing to do. I hope our sweet girl gets an emotional break now! Sheβs been taking a beating to the heart.
