[Art] Evelyn’s Office~!!

It’s Evelyn’s Office! Located at Oat Pi’s Admin Building, one of the oldest buildings at the once prestigious Oat Pi University.

Here's what the original looked like.

The original’s colors felt too similar to Bill’s Apartment. Because of that, I wanted Evelyn’s office to feel distinct with it's own personality, making changes that made it feel like her office.

With the rest of the university becoming this mix of new and old; modern and old style buildings. I'm always thinking about the history of Oat Pi, what they added and changed at the university, imagining the kinds of modifications and upgrades they built overtime.

In the office, I ended up mixing in modern style aluminium window frames with popular 80s vertical blinds, with modern patterned office carpet and hardwood everywhere, from the old wall panelling and desk, and newer laminated modern cabinets.

Picking new colors was a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. I had to change just about everything in the room to find the right balance. I tried using complimentary colors to Evelyn’s, thinking it might make her avatar stand out, but it didn’t look that great.

I settled on using shades of Evelyn’s lipstick and hair, which I didn’t think was going to work at first. But after doing a few dirty mock ups in Clip Studio, it was worth a try, using more blue elements at the bottom of the image to balance it out. I think it turned out alright in the end.

I’m not sure if I pulled off the old and modern look entirely, but I feel like it does give off Dean Evelyn vibes.

What do you think? Does it have that old but modern feel to it that reminds you of Evelyn? XD
