New Series in the Works
Added 2017-08-24 13:12:01 +0000 UTCI'm planning on developing a new series, 'The Philosophy of YouTube,' with the strapline - 'Because the Medium is the Message.' It's YouTube about YouTubing, basically: examining the platform and the discourses surrounding it but with the kind of depth and citations that you've come to expect from me! I've got episodes planned on Bullying & Harassment, on whether there's such a thing as the "YouTube Community," on the difference between expression and communication... All sorts! It'll be aimed at people who either watch a fair bit of YouTube or maybe are YouTubers themselves, or indeed anybody interested in how the whole business works (and I use the word 'business' advisedly). I think YouTube is a massively powerful force, for good or ill, so it deserves some analysis!
If there are any topics or issues you'd like me to take a look at, feel free to let me know! It's all in the planning stage at the moment so hopefully the first episode will be out by the end of the year!
