February Reading Recommendations: How to Cite Other Authors

Here's my book recommendations for February, and this lot includes some Edward Said, some philosophy of mind, and some post-Marxism from George Ciccariello-Maher. I also talk a little about how to effectively cite other authors while writing. Hope you like it!

Thanks a lot for talking about citations. A great topic, and indeed, even really good authors screw it up regularly. I wish higher standards for that were more widely applied, or conversely, works that lack certain standards of citation would be more readily called out, especially among academics. Also not a big fan of the fact that books for the mass market usually have little citations, if any, because, you know, you don't need to prove anything when talking to the average Joe because what you don't intend to double-check what I'm saying do you don't dare to doubt an ounce of my words
