A Very Important Question
Added 2018-06-25 15:35:10 +0000 UTCHello lovely Patrons! I've come away from VidCon utterly INSPIRED and I want to take the channel to the next level. First though, I wanted to ask you -
What would you think about me making videos every OTHER week, rather than weekly?
Everyone says it's silly if I want to grow the channel, but I'm more concerned with making videos that are actually good and growing it that way than by gaming the algorithm. I feel like right now I'm often rushed to get something out every week, whereas if I had a bit more time I could actually put in more work per video, making them better. More of a ContraPoints, Lindsay Ellis vibe.
Obviously my big concern is that people would stop pledging: I've been terrified to experiment with the channel because Patreon is functionally my only income at the moment, so it's scary to even consider tweaking it in case it all comes tumbling down and I'm suddenly out of a job! So would you change your pledge if I made fewer videos of better quality? Would you up it, lower it, leave it where it is, take it away?
I've a few more ideas and over the coming months I'll be letting you know about them! Please let me know your thoughts!

Since it is your actual job wouldn't it be normal to have a couple of weeks holidays now and then? This you tube thing should not become modern slavery. Anyway thanks for the good job you're doing teaching philosophy to this crazy world.
