It seems to me that the reason the left will win is a numbers game. Whichever groups welcomes more people will win by majority rule. The left is inclusive; the right is exclusive. If you want to form a social order based on being white, wealthy, straight, able-bodied and male (or hating yourself enough to align with them) you're cutting out most of the population, so you won't be able to maintain your hold on power forever.
