Patreon Messed Up - Please Check Your Pledges!

It seems Patreon messed up a little last night and some credit cards have been declined. It's happening to a lot of creators, it's affected me to the tune of a few hundred dollars, so best to check your pledge went through just to be on the safe side!

2018-08-04 05:58:34 +0000 UTCIf it said your pledges were successful, you don't need to do anything; you'll get an email if it failed. It seems that PayPal moved their payment processing to the the UK, so people in the USA were suddenly making international, instead of domestic, payments; this triggered a lot of banks' fraud detection which locked a few people's cards.

2018-08-03 02:41:39 +0000 UTCYeah, that was weird. I got a text asking me if I was really giving to Patreon, I replied yes, and it still declined my card. When I retried, I got a call asking the same thing. I said yes again. (I switched to Paypal temporarily, just to be sure.)
