Editing for my next video - working title Sex Work - is coming on nicely, and I have some screenshots to share with you!
I hired out a disused theatre in South London for this episode; as you can see it allowed me to get some great shots and sets like this one!
And my usual studio space is used too!
SURPRISE! For this video I was delighted to welcome adult film star and chair of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee Riley Reyes! Riley was an expert script consultant and appears in the video itself! It was very important to me that she be paid for her time and expertise so that's where some of your pledges this month are earmarked to go.
My interview with Riley forms one of the through-lines of the video, in edited-down chunks. I will also release the full interview as a separate video just for Patrons!
I wanted to experiment with some new camera angles and techniques in this one, as you can see...

SURPRISE PART 2! Sex workers all around the world sent in their stories to help make this video possible, and adult film star Misha Mayfair will be reading them to you! As with Riley it was important to me that Misha be paid for her time so some of your pledges are earmarked to go towards paying her a professional voice actor's fee.
This shot is actually a stealth pun - do any of you know what a martini made with passionfruit and passoa is called?
The theatre also came with two bars, so I mean why not use them?

Here you can see the full look! I wanted to go for a "19th Century magician" vibe; I was very inspired by the costumes in The Prestige, as well as the work of real-life magicians Maskelyne and Cooke ... and if you look closely at the first picture again you'll see a cheeky reference to them! (Also I love that chair.)
Can't wait for this video to come out - I think it's one of my best to date! It should be with you at some point in the next 2 weeks, and as usual $15+ Patrons will get to see it early!
