Screenshots: 'Capital Punishment & Prison Abolition'

Hello lovely Patrons! Editing is proceeding apace for my next video; it should hopefully be out for $15+ patrons maybe even as soon as tomorrow! Here are some screenshots to get you hype!

Ha haaaaa, I love this set with the nice depth to it and the wood of the stage! And that gorgeous chair, with the red backlights and just a hint of green thrown in! Fantastic!

Here you can see a closeup on the nails - I actually got them for Identity but they weren't appropriate in the end so I saved them for this!

You can't quite tell from a still but I'm using After Effects to animate quotes onto the screen. Not sure why this screenshot has come out so bright? It probably won't be like that in the final version

I love that little velvet stool too. Honestly the whole venue is good, I can see myself maybe going back there again for some future videos

The video features some discussion of the Werner Herzog documentary Into the Abyss, though you won't need to have seen it to follow along. It also forms the basis of the post-credits gag haha

Not mad about this camera angle, to be honest; it's probably the one thing I'd change if I could go back and reshoot. I'd come up by a few inches and very slightly pitch down - as it is I think we're just slightly below where we should be, probably because my heels put me above where we placed the camera. Something to remember for next time.

I'll be talking about a few real life executions, including the infamous Evans case!

Not that you can tell from photos, but I've leaned into blues and jazz for the soundtrack. I'm getting a bit bored of lofi, it seems like sometime last year everybody and their Mum started using it as backing music for video essays so it's time for something new

This has been a surprisingly tough edit for how technically simple the video is; I'm dead tired haha, but nearly done now! $15+ Patrons will get to see it a couple of days early - I may release it mid-week or possibly wait till Friday depending on how much rest I need and how long the subtitles take.

Oh, and there will be a blooper reel with this one! I haven't done a blooper reel in a while because all the bloopers and laughter were in my real voice, not the Matt Berry Man Voice I used to hide on the show, but now that I no longer have to hide I can include them!
