We just wrapped on a pretty exhausting day of filming my next episode, working title Food. Body. Mind. I am so excited for this one, it really came together and I think it's going to be strange and wonderful!
It was another early start for me, getting in the chair for makeup artist Camille Nava!
I love working with Camille, because in addition to having an eye for detail, like me, she always contributes so much to the creative design of the looks we do!
Here you can see the makeup under the lights - we went for a bit of a 50s housewife look, for reasons that will become clear when you see the episode haha
Also returning was stylist Brian Conway, to help source the outfits!
AND special guest, celebrity chef Nigella Lawson! Wait what.
As you've probably guessed this video has a cooking theme: we'll be baking a lemon drizzle cake as we go!
As usual with my videos though, there's more beneath the surface... I think this is the first time we've done an actual horror episode since Abortion & Ben Shapiro. There's no blood and guts this time, just... menace.
We'll be talking about the philosophy of mind a fair but, but also eating disorders, shame, internalised prejudice, womanhood, cosmetic surgery... it's going to be a hard hitter and we really leant into the psychological horror element
I was also really pleased to be joined by Kelly Slaughter, "Silicon Valley's Hottest New Millionaire"!
Kelly agreed to a sit-down interview where she told us all about her new business venture

I'm super excited for this one. After a few episodes of playing it a bit safe, it feels great to be returning to some weird shit that messes with the YouTube format a little! I'll get started on the editing tomorrow and keep you updated with screenshots!

I am still cycling through your older videos and looking forward to this one. An off-hand question/observation on language; does Abi curse less than Oliver did? There is enough Abi footage that I sense a pattern. Care to respond? PS. I am not encouraging more profanity; it is like hot peppers. Use it too much and it loses it flavor. :-) RCM
