BTS Pics: "Islamophobia: An Analysis"

We just wrapped on my next video - Islamophobia: An Analysis. This one has been a long time coming! We had a nice easy shoot day, so here are some behind the scenes pictures!
It was an early start for me, up at 0600 to get in the makeup chair!
Our hair and makeup artist for this shoot was Nicki Buglewicz, and honestly she did an incredible job
Obviously the subject matter of this video is a bit heavy, so I tried to compensate with the writing and the jokes whilst still keeping things YouTube friendly. I hope I struck the right balance
I hired three Muslim script consultants to help me with the video, all of whom will also have voiceover cameos!
The original plan was to film a panel show with a selection of Muslim authors and journalists, but it proved absolutely impossible to schedule - so I went back to a more standard Philosophy Tube format
I actually thought about bringing back "Mme Y" from Antisemitism: An Analysis as the main presenter persona, but in the end I opted for something new
Stylist Brian Conway returned to help me design and source the various outfits - I asked for two this time, and in typical Brian style he came back with three!
So in typical Abi style I just decided to use the third for the introduction!
Here you can see Nickie's work in detail, and oh my goodness .
She's phenomenally talented. I do like to try and put your pledge money on the screen, and hiring Nickie was absolutely worth it!
Been a while since I wore a tie, haha.
One person who was available to appear on the show was Adelaide Sweetley-Schmitz, columnist for The Dailygraph
You might remember her from Jordan Peterson's Ideology. She's back, and more loathsome than ever I'm sorry to say

You are my current fave YouTuber (Lindsay Ellis does not put out videos fast enough) and I am LOVING the juice of all your content. Very excited for this latest one while I also make my way through old videos when you were in drag all the time. Also, my own philosophical study is very much routed in Buddhist philosophy and I was wondering if you are familiar with the Vimalarkirti sutra and specifically that chapter about Shantideva and the Goddess. I think it would be AMAZING to have a PhilosophyTube take on a fifth century text that exposes gender as a construct.
