BTS Pics: Violence & Protest
Added 2021-11-24 22:17:21 +0000 UTCHello lovely Patrons!
We just wrapped on my latest episode, working title Violence & Protest. I went big on this one! Thank you for waiting so patiently for it while I was in Romania. Here are some behind the scenes pics!

I'm quite proud of the script on this one - it goes into some really quite technical philosophy. This section is about the French Revolution!

Immanuel Kant had some lesser-known and really interesting opinion about political violence, so we'll be discussing them!

Stylist Brian Conway returned to help me source the outfits, and this time he really outdid himself!

The brief I gave him was titled 'Warrior Goddess' and he really came through!

Nickie Buglewicz returned as well to do the incredible makeup work!

I decided to set the discussions we'll be having in the context of climate activism specifically, which is nice: I've been meaning to revisit some climate philosophy, and now's a good time to do it

We'll also be talking about Walter Benjamin - it's a dense script! I think this episode might be a long one!

The script went through a few quite different drafts before I settled on framing the whole thing around Ende Gelande and disruptive climate activism

I think this one's gonna be good - everything just seemed to be coming together really nicely!

We were also honoured to be joined once again by Dailygraph columnist Adelaide Sweetley-Schmitz!

That helmet was so heavy!

This is me checking the script at the end of a long day to check we definitely got it all!

As soon as I've had some sleep I'll get to work on the editing! This will be my final episode of the year, as usual I'll be taking December off. I hope to have it out not this Friday, but the Friday after!

2021-11-29 16:42:29 +0000 UTCI’m really glad I see these early because if I don’t prepare myself, I get too distracted by how beautifully you turn these looks.
2021-11-29 04:14:31 +0000 UTCOh my gosh, you look glorious in that armor, I can't wait to see the finished product! I'm so very glad to be supporting production of these videos when it's clear the money is going to a good cause and paying for inspired costuming!

2021-11-26 01:44:46 +0000 UTCwow, you look absolutely stunning!!! these outfits are amazing, i can't wait to see the final video! Obligatory German Nitpick: if you don't have ä on your keyboard (which i'm guessing you don't), the grammatically correct way to substitute it is to use ae, in this case the right way to spell the movement is Ende Gelaende :)
