We just wrapped on my next video, Transhumanism! This one is going to be pretty spectacular - here are some pictures from the set!
It was a very early start for me: up at 5am to get to the venue and be in the makeup chair!
This video is all about technology, specifically the intersection between humans and tech!
We were honoured to be joined by Kelly Slaughter, Silicon Valley's hottest Millennial CEO!
Kelly will be telling us all about her new facial recognition company!
Nicki Buglewicz returned as our hair and makeup artist, and I know I always say this but she really brought her A-game this time!
Brian Conway returned as the stylist too, and this time we took it to the next level...
I knew that for an episode about the philosophy of technology there needed to be a scifi-inspired look, so Brian and I commissioned this amazing custom latex outfit from Dead Lotus Couture!
The latex had to be shined to make it camera ready, which was a weirdly warm and slimy sensation
I'm quite happy with the script for this episode: it's in 4 parts, and it goes to quite a few different places before tying it all together in a neat bow in the final one!
We'll be touching not just on technology, but also conspiracy theories and the Russian invasion of Ukraine!
Plus there's a more in-depth look at phenomenology, an area of philosophy I mentioned back in Jordan Peterson's Ideology and promised we'd come back to!
I will get to work editing after I've eaten and slept - I'm hoping this one will be out on the 22nd of April for general audiences and a few days early at least for $15+ Patrons!

Can't wait to see your take on the topic. For me it resides in that shadowy spot between "everything I fantasize about" and "a short path to a nightmare world". I just want to have four cool robot arms without lower classes having to pay a mortgage for their own body. I want to be able to type with both hands, use the mouse, and sip on my tea simultaneously, without worrying that there is a class of immortal trillionaire oligarchs dictating new legal precedence for reclaiming my liver if I try to unionize. I want an exobrain that contains all Star Wars trivia perfectly sorted and categorized for optimal internet debate, without public schools and libraries being shut down and all knowledge being locked behind subscription plans to Amazon Alexandria.
