Hello lovely Patrons!

I am editing the next episode as we speak, still hoping to have it out on Tuesday the 14th! (For reasons that will become clear.) Here are some screenshots to get you hype!

I hired a great location for this one and we really used it to its full potential - I'm glad we got the fire working too!

This look came together so well, it's so striking when it's in the proper light!

We even managed to get some stuff shot outdoors!

I think in terms of the script this is one of the more technical episodes I've done in a while. In particular I'm glad to talk about the work of Charles Mills, a philosopher who passed away relatively recently but was very highly thought of.

We'll also be looking in depth at Carole Pateman's famous book The Sexual Contract. People have been saying for years that they really enjoyed the mini-episodes I used to do on books, and I thought it might be nice to recapture some of that energy on the main show!

I asked Anansi of the channel Anansi's Library to read some voiceover - it turned out amazing!

We will also briefly be analysing Kim Petras' new album - this started out as a joke and then I was like "No but actually though."

We do love a makeup room mirror shot on Philosophy Tube, it's just such a great visual shorthand for 'This is me just in neutral presenter mode but also don't forget this is a curated presentation.'

We go both wide and deep on this script; I'm pretty pleased with it!

Funny thing - we were looking at flower crowns for this costume, and we found some that were like £200 custom bridal headpieces and I was like "No way the budget won't stretch for that" so we bought a bunch of flowers on the cheap, I think maybe from a petrol station, and just stuck them in my hair and it worked great.

There will be a big announcement attached to this one - you're going to want to watch the premiere on Tuesday night!
