BTS Pics: 'Stoicism'

We just wrapped on my next episode, working title Stoicism. Here are some pictures from the set!
As you may know Stoicism is an Ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, so I of course needed an Ancient Roman inspired look!
And of course, some lions! We filmed at the King's Head Members Club, which has a number of taxidermied animals.
Bit sad really, but they are antiques so at least no lions were harmed in the making of this video!
Stoicism has a lot of overlap with modern therapeutic techniques, so I also needed a look that I called 'Therapy Mommy!'
Brian Conway returned to do the styling for this video and as usual he did an amazing job!
I'll be chatting about Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which actually overlaps quite a bit with Stoicism!
At the same time we'll also be getting a little bit personal: I had some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy years ago, so we'll be talking a little about how Stoicism has helped me!
This episode has both glam and brains: the script is a really good explainy one with lots of fun detail. I really went the extra mile for the research!
We were also honoured to be joined by Silicon Valley CEO Kelly Slaughter, who'll be telling us all about her latest business venture!
I think Kelly is one of my favourite characters on the show: she's evolved so much from where we first started out! Her segment provides a bit of a modern breath in a script that's quite oriented towards the ancient world
This was a total surprise moment to me on set - the crew (Brian, Nicki, and Mr. X the camera operator who prefers to remain anonymous) got me a little cake to celebrate my birthday and Philosophy Tube's birthday!
This month Philosophy Tube is 10 years old! I was so genuinely shocked and moved, it was a lovely thing for them to do!
These cheeky sods surprised me, I had no idea!
This episode was super fun to film! I'll get editing: I'm aiming for a general release on the 12th of May. Nebula subscribers and $15+ Patrons will get to see it early, as usual!

I was convinced. I've now moved on to dialectical behavioral therapy. I didn't sleep last night but I scribbled at the book with a pen about my 'overwhelm' with it and described how I was 'coping destructuvely'. Would love to get a DBT moment with Abigail if the moment can arrive comfortably! ('parts' therapy aka internal family systems is helpful when I hear about from anyone than the guy who wrote it up first.)

Minor point I find extremely funny is that about 3 times in a row your videos have premiered while I've been in the middle of a kendo tournament both at home and abroad. This time the episode releases one day before one starts.
