10 Years of Philosophy Tube

Philosophy Tube is a decade old today. 10 years ago I uploaded the first ever episode. What an incredible road we've travelled since then!
I won't belabour the point: there'll be plenty of time for stories and probably crying on the celebration livestream, which I'm hoping will be this weekend. But I just wanted to say thank you.
Especially to you Patrons. I mean, literally, the show would not happen without you. My life has been forever altered by making it, and I wanted you to know the impact you've had on me, and how grateful I am.
I'm honoured to do this job, and I hope I will do it to the best of my ability for as long as I can. Truly, it's an honour.

I had zero interest in philosophy before I found your YouTube channel. The fact that I've probably watched over 80% of your videos now is testimony to your abilities. While I'd be sad to see the end of Philosophy Tube, I hope that your acting career success far eclipses you success with Philosophy Tube.

When I started dating my now fiancé, he showed me some of your work (I knew nothing of video essays at the time) and then, as an early-dating ritual, we started watching every new video, sharing our reactions and ideas about the points you raised. Not only did it make us stronger as a couple, but to be quite honestnit also helped me vet quite early on if he shared my values on a much deeper level. So while I wouldn't necessarily say everyone should watch philosophy essays as a relationship test, I will say that I'm very glad I did. Thank you for a decade of incredible, thought-provoking work, and here's to many more!

Seeing your growth in that time has been incredible to me. I have a couple of favorite moments, but one of my absolute faves is, as best as I can describe it, your "brother" doing an impersonation of Ms. LaBonz from Bob's Burgers during the Amy Coney Barrett video. Something to the effect of, "Sorry sweetheart, you're in the wrong hospital. You want the other one across town," said in the voice of a Jersey Girl with a three packs a day habit. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I think of that voice and smile.
