Important: D-Genesis Licensed and further Updates

Heyas folks,

some may have already seen it, but J-Novel Club has licensed D-Genesis in the U.S. I didn't know about it until today morning when some of you informed me, so I was kinda hit unprepared, since no one from the publisher's side had contacted me about it in advance either.

Naturally, I was hard pressed to consider my options.  Though, it's already my 6th series (of which I got one back later on xD) that got hit by a licensing and/or DMCA, so you could say I have some experience with this. Not that I need such experience. (-_-);;

So what does it mean for you the readers?

A licensing basically always means that the series is going to be dropped. 

Why? 

Cause I don't want to risk any legal charges. Since Patreon is a company located in the U.S., it'd take a single click for any IP holder in the U.S. to file a DMCA, if they're kind, or sue me, if they're not so kind. 

Since I'm trying to scrape by as a fan translator, I can't afford to get my Patreon locked. So I hope I can count on your understanding for this decision.

As you can see under the D-Genesis tag, I've already started to remove the releases on this Patreon. But fret not, I have put together a little care package for your partaking (please notice this package is going to self-destruct if not consumed in due time).

Furthermore, as some of you may know, I have just last week started with a new day (1st January). Since I'm no big fan of cutting off things in the middle of nowhere, I'll finish that day. However, not in parts as usual but the whole thing in one go.  You'll receive another care package together with the first releases of a new series.

Yep, you heard right. I'm going to replace D-Genesis with a new series. Naturally. I had originally planned to finish the stocking of Hakai and Vampire for the other Patreon, then run a game event, then set up a new Spearmaster tier, and finally look for a new series to go with, but with D-Genesis gone my plans have gone haywire.

Although my drive is full with dozens of LN series, on top of several interesting WNs I follow, I haven't had even the time to decide on a series yet. 

As such, I'll take a bit of time, check out various contenders, and then put up a selection of them for a vote here. D-Genesis was a series I picked up out of my own choice, so I do have some confidence in my taste. However, for the sake of avoiding a total flop, I'll get your opinion in advance.

Also, following patrons (whom I could identify) have opted for D-Genesis to be their main series in the recent Patreon Survey: Krazey K, Am I Undead, Nerv27, DCRangeRange, Anders Larsson, David Ruiz.

Although the licensing issue isn't my fault, I want to apologize to you guys by giving you the chance to recommend me one series of your choice. I'll give your suggestion a serious thought, and read it. 

Please limit it to a series that is not licensed, not being translated by other fan TLs, and doesn't have dozens of MTLed chapters that would all need to be re-translated. If the series you suggest is something I could work with, it'll be put up for vote alongside the other contenders, of course.

This got fairly long, but well, I'm not a translator for nothing...we love to write blocks of text. xD
