2024-11-09 02:34:31 +0000 UTCI'm sorry but you missed out on a really sweet moment with Team Rocket on that episode you skipped the second half of. If you are just gonna hate on Team Rocket then you're not gonna enjoy half the show because they have been there the entire way of Ash's journey. And ngl when there Team Rocket focused episodes, more likely than not they are pretty good hits. I do think that Black & White and Sun & Moon have the best versions of Team Rocket. But no matter how much you hate them, always give them a shot whenever there is a Team Rocket focused episode, they are usually really good. I suggest watching that second half on your own time. Sorry it's easy for me to get too passionate when it's about something that is a favorite of mine.

2024-11-08 05:35:17 +0000 UTCEven as a kid, I was taken aback by how quickly Goomy both evolved and left. Speaking of Butterfree, that was the same deal, but more iconic. I do still consider Goodra to have the best character development out of his XY gang so far. With the showcases, that's another character besides Ash with a goal. Ash need 8 badges for the League, Serena needs 3 keys for the nest level. The showcases are actually a different take on something that was done earlier in the entire anime with 2 of Ash's female companions. And yeah, I'm split on her re-design. The Jessie and Wobbuffet episode was at least refreshing like the James backstory in Kanto with his rich parents. If you love Team Rocket, you'll really love that episode. If you hate them, it's still a decent episode. But still, Team Rocket in XY are just awful And I know this was mentioned before, but Ash winning gyms first time is more common than it seems. Going from the lousy, pity wins of the OG series to the first XY gym where he lost may have made it seem like he would always lose at least once, but that's not the case. And I know it's been ages, but this (53:45) was in the OG series, in Ash's 5th gym back then. Also fun fact, you've now watched more XY than OG series (you dropped that at episode 65). If you ever feel like returning, you've only 15 episodes of Season 1 left

I think Bloom, if you really want to and have the energy and interest to get to xyz, you can complete kalos quest in two weeks. You got 23 episodes left, and if you skip filler, it should be possible to finish in two weeks. I doubt these next batches will be as atrocious as the previous batch of episodes you did two weeks ago.

2024-11-08 04:04:26 +0000 UTCCompletely understandable that Goodra felt rush, not to me tho. I can just tell that Goodra will be your least favorite of Ash’s Pokemon the entire XY show. The thing is that Goomy is considered one of the weakest Pokemon, and Goodra is a sudo legendary. That basically means he is one of the strongest non legendary pokemon species. So seeing Goomy like that for as long as it takes to evolve normally in the show then no one would’ve liked Goodra whatsoever. Goomy is too much of a baby to be kept like that for long. And Sliggo isn’t that good either. With Ash having three out his five pokemon being weak to electric, it made the most sense to have Goomy evolve into Goodra pretty quick. And I’m pretty sure the show didn’t want Pikachu to be the final Pokemon again after the first three badges. Also in Black and White Pikachu won most of Ash’s gym badges as well. I liked it because it broke the normal trends of waiting and waiting for evolutions to happen. And sometimes there are like really huge gaps in between evolutions. Sometimes they mislead us with the Pokemon learning a new move instead or not even evolving, just winning through sheer determination which is just lame bs. At least that how I felt having watched most of Ash’s journey. But as someone who is just starting their Pokemon anime journey your feelings about Goodra are understandable.

While kalos is based on France, this is an anime and in japan/anime, cutting your hair is meant to be a symbol of growth/development. Its her way of showing that shes now really going to start growing. Something similar happened in Avatar: The Last Airbender
