Johto IS full of fillers but it has GREAT arcs. like the Lugia one, and the red Gyarados one which is kind of important for Lance's character. Johto is honestly great if you skip every single filler

So I will choose OG. but just to make you feel better when you will watch ADVANCED - cause I know the start sucked: this is a GREAT saga, really, the first episodes are slow but trust me, its worth it especially the battle frontier arc :)
