At least with w/ Alain he was @ 100%..... all ima say is f*ckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Team Rocket in this section and ohhhhh Charizard 🥲u are one selling stubborn mf (Ash fault). Why did the writers thought it was a great idea???

They're always babbling about fight choreography, 3D animation and Ash-Greninja, but not only was the League rushed, it lacked the strong character-driven moments that Sinnoh and Alola had. Seems like all they care about is pretty visuals

If I had to rank the Leagues it would go Ahlola Sinnoh Hoenn Master 8 Kalos Johto Kanto Unova Kalos is so low because well, what league lol! We saw like non of it and while the 2 6 vs 6 we saw where amazing it doesnt make up for all the battles we missed out on.

2025-02-27 17:32:12 +0000 UTCThis League is a classic example of “first instalment syndrome”, you can tell they were finding their footing, even with Ash's bizarre, plot-esque wins, the awful way they made him lose, Gary getting eliminated by a nobody and just leaves, and even the fact they didn't bother to show us the winner. I don't mind Ash losing to Ritchie, but it's the way they did it and how underwhelming the battle ended up being. The Alain loss was indeed 100 times more acceptable than this. I’m with you on Team Rocket, one of many reasons why I don’t like them. If XY didn't already make you hate them, this certainly will. If this was a later League, no Team Rocket, and a full-fleshed out Ash vs Ritchie. Notice how in both this League and the Kalos League, Ash’s L involved a Charizard. On the bright side, this League is arguably the worst in the series, so it's only up after this, except for maybe one certain League, but we'll talk about it when we get there. The single best thing about this League was definitely Ritchie, he's a likeable guy and was way better utilised in this League than Gary. Either way, so glad to see the OG series back
