Roy espeically gets interested in it and they start adventuring in order to help train for it and grow his rank like Ash did in Journeys. It would also be a good way to bring Ash into the story if from what the leaks are saying they have been intending to do. If they do bring Ash back into Horizans I hope he plays a role like Cynthia or Leon, someone for Roy and Liko to look up to and chase after. Also hope he has ether some of his old mons evolved fully or even some new ones to shake things up a bit. Ash with a Cerleged would be super cool

Apparently the Pokemon Anime team where going to wrap on Ash's story with DP which is why they pulled out all the stops from adding Gary to the story, Hunter J, and Paul this season had some amazing writing and could have very well been where Ash's story ended if they hadnt wanted him to continue into Black and White
