Still a fun season, but don't expect any big overarching plot line for this season, aside from the 2 part finale. So when you react to the season, go into expecting more lower-stakes, episodic adventures.

This is one of if not the most controversial arcs of the entire series mainly cause of the retcon which I will explain in a moment, despite that it's my 5th favorite Ben 10 arc and I love it a lot, but let's start with the explanation now. Ep5: the first ep of the arc which shows us that the rooters exist and Max knows about them. We see that there are only 4 remaining members: Swift (the girl who is a Jetray hybrid), Leander: (the other guy who was a NRG hybrid), Phil (Max's old plumber partner from all the way back in season 2 ep 1 of the og series, but we also saw him in the season 1 OV finale in a flashback where it was revealed that Khyber used him as an experiment for the nemetrix before he gave it to his dog Zed which is now Kevin's dog and that's how Phil got his powers, but we see him again in season 4 when Max tries to get him back, but he can't cause the alien dna has messed up his mind and he gets send to the null void where he apparently has met the rooters and that's how they met each other) and Servantis the leader of the rooters (he is a Brainstorm hybrid and he is one of my favorite Ben 10 villains, I love his design, armor, voice and all the crazy psychological mind tricks he does, I really like that he doesn't fight so much and uses his mind and manipulating skills to get what he wants and still manages to remain a big threat, I also love that his goal isn't the generic I want to rule or destroy the world stuff, he just wants to eliminate Ben, cause he considers him a threat, cause of the omnitrix, Servantis thinks that it is absurd that some child possesses the greatest power in the universe and can do whatever he wants which includes wiping the whole universe and that's why Servantis thinks he is the hero, he wants to eliminate the coming storm who has the power to destroy everything, who is too dangerous to be let alive, who is too young and reckless to possess this much power, he wants to kill Ben Tennyson). And now let me try to explain the retcon as best as I can: so basically it is revealed that Kevin and the amalgams (plumber's helpers) are all osmosians which now doesn't mean aliens, but people with alien powers except Kevin who somehow has his powers since birth. The plumbers helpers thought they got their powers from one of their parents who was an alien, but it is now revealed that all the plumbers helpers and the rooters with Alien dna (except Phil) got their powers thanks to Kevin in a similar way we saw Alan getting his powers. Btw if you didn't notice Pierce (the porcupine looking kid) got his powers from Argit and that is why he was there and if you are wondering why Pierce wasn't present in the present, but only in the flashbacks is because he was killed in Ultimate alien season 2 ep 13 by the forever knights when they went on a purge and started to kill lots of aliens who live on Earth. Also when Max told Servantis that he never had a partner Devin Levin, he was talking about Kevin's dad who we saw in one of the last episodes of Alien force in a flashback with Max and we saw Devin sacrificing himself for Max and that's why Kevin has never met his dad, but he still knows about him, but it's now revealed that Servantis has implemented false memories into Max's and Kevin's heads and that Devin Levin never actually existed so it's now unclear who the real father of Kevin is. Ep9: in the beginning we see Alan angry at Kevin, cause the last time they met each other was in the Ultimate alien season 1 finale with Ultimate Kevin who absorbed Alan's powers, but anyways all the plumbers helpers get their memories back when Servantis zaps their heads and have now remember their true goal from years ago which is to neutralize Ben, btw I think the reason why Servantis can't just turn Kevin against Ben is cause every time he zaps him Kevin just absorbs the blast. And now we get to one of my favorite scenes in all of Ben 10: the Servantis and Kevin talk. I love the ost, the voice acting, the dialogue, the intensity, it's all up there and all this while Ben absolutely destroys the rooters and the plumbers helpers with his most powerful alien (which just further proves Servantis's point that Ben is too dangerous and can do whatever he wants) is just absolute cinema. The Servantis speech is mostly a way for him to manipulate Kevin, telling him why he believes Ben is a threat and reminding him that he always has been one of the rooters and his memories were altered to get closer to Ben and now it's finally time for him to finish his mission which he failed 5 years ago which is shown in the flashback of the next ep. After that Kevin "snaps" and turns against Ben. Ep10: The waybads are from the season 3 finale when the incursions attacked the Earth and Attea and dr Psychobos (the evil Brainstorm guy) were controlling them and at the end they all got sent to the null void. So after that we see the flashback which was the final mission of the rooters. They were all set to go and defeat Ben, but of course they failed. The chronologically second Kevin mutating in the flashback is made of the other aliens Ben got after the first 10 aliens in the og series like Cannonbolt, Eyeguy, Waybig Snare oh, Frankenstrike, Blitzwolfer and so on. Ben and Gwen didn't know that these guys were the plumbers helpers back then. They only knew Kevin and in the beginning of Alien force they were surprised to see him again, cause they still thought he was in the null void, cause we see him go back to the null void at the end of the flashback. We also see Servantis calling the entire mission a failure and deleting the all the memories of the kids from when they were rooters and that's why they don't remember meeting Ben and Gwen. After that Ben stopped wearing the omnitrix and because of that Servantis stopped hunting down Ben, but in the beginning of Alien force we see Ben putting the omnitrix back on and later in Omniverse we see him recreate the entire universe. The gang think that Servantis somehow sensed that with his big brain or something and that's the main reason why he wants to resume the mission and neutralize Ben for good this time. Later we see Kevin mutate again, but this time with the Omniverse aliens (2 mutations in one ep, pretty hype) and he captures Ben. After that we see Servantis, Kevin and the plumbers helpers all in one room ready to put Ben in a machine which will destroy him and the omnitrix (this also shows why Servantis is a really good villain for me, most of the Ben 10 villains want to destroy Ben and get the omnitrix for themselves, but Servantis wants to destroy the Ben and the omnitrix, cause he thinks it's way too powerful and dangerous for someone to have). Then we see Kevin betraying Servantis and showing us that he wasn't controlled by Servantis like the other kids and that it was all part of his plan and he destroys some part of Servantis's Brainstorm head which stops him from messing with other people's minds forever and fixes the minds of the other kids. And that's basically it. Wow this became so much longer than I expected, but I hope it helped you understand the rooters stuff better. This arc was very psychological and it may have retconned the origin of Kevin and the plumbers helpers with them being aliens and not mutants, but I think it was worth it, cause we got to see lots of new lore, a new very interesting villain with some really interesting motivation very different from the other villains and a lot of mind games which I liked, cause again it's different than the usual fighting all the time and we even got to see an ending which wasn't a long and epic fight scene, but Kevin using his brain and ousmarting the main villain of this season using psychological stuff like him. Anyways as you can probably see I really like this arc. It was very different from the other arcs and it showed us so much new stuff and expanded the Ben 10 world even more.

Yeah this is one of those eps that I just couldn't wait for you to watch since the start and I knew you were gonna love it. I love how it starts off like a normal episode and then suddenly a bunch of Celestial sapiens appearer and it becomes one of the craziest Ben 10 eps ever. Like the action was peak and the visuals too, but I think you didn't notice one of my favorite things about this ep. When Chadsmuth sayst that Celestial sapiens change the universe all the time he really meant it. He showed 3 photos of Azmuth which were all from the different eras of the series: OS (original series), UAF (Ultimate alien and Alien force, which both have the same artstyle) and OV (Omniverse) and said that even his appearance and voice have changed at least 3 separate times which is true Azmuth has a different design and design in all 3 artstyles of the series (OS, UAF and OV) and it's all cause of the Celestial sapiens. This is my favorite fourth wall break ever, cause it fixes so many things with the series like it allows us to blame the Celestial sapiens for all the design or voice changes, all the retcons and other small continuity errors. All the Ben 10 fans love this cause we now have a cannon in show way to explain everything that doesn't get explained in the actual show the biggest one of each is the change of artstyle in each series which is now revealed to be caused by some random Celestial sapiens which were having fun or something. And this will conclude this part. The main thing here was that I wanted to let you know that the change of artstyle, voice actors and the retcons and continuity errors were all possibly caused by Celestial sapiens. Look I love Ben 10, but even I know it's not perfect, but at least we have a cannon in show reason for who to blame for something we don't like like the echo echo redesign for example 😉

2025-03-03 12:42:36 +0000 UTCOk so I just finished this and it was awesome and now it's time for me to go on a REALLY long ramble about the eps, reveal some fun facts and hopefully help clear some things up with the Rooters arc. I'm gonna split the explanation into 3 parts : PART 1 will be this which will include all the eps except the ones from the Rooters arc and the Alien X ep. Ep1: A pretty fun ep with some returning characters and btw we've seen some the cat lady before, but only one time in the season 3 ep when Ben went to the Upchuck planet, we saw her right in the beginning of that ep before the Upchuck stuff happened, also the first and second ep have still have the galactic monsters opening, because they are technically a part of season 5 which was monster themed, but you know Cartoon network messed up the airing order so it's better to watch them this season, cause they totally don't feel like a season finale. Ep2: yeah this was a new and pretty interesting concept with a new silly villain, also we've seen the spider monkey guy Simian before in Alien force and Ultimate alien. He is a scammer and a scumbag kinda like Argit. Last time we saw him was in the season 3 UA ep when we went to the spider monkey planet, cause they all became DNAliens and at the end of the ep Simian sold some blasters to the incursions. Also this guy Colectimus is a really big Ben 10 nerd. I really love these 2 lines from him: "I liked the old sign better", which implies that he knows that the Mr smoothie design has been changed, cause you know Ben messed it up a little bit when he recreated the universe and the line "I just wish this world was a little ... darker ... grittier" which is kinda a fourth wall break, cause at the time people wished that OV was more mature and less goofy like Alien force and Ultimate alien. And the fake Ben is a sludgepuppy or the name of the actual species lenopan like Ben's other cousin Lucy (the mud girl who Gwen had beef with) and he was foreshadowed in OV season 2 when we went to Rook's home, we saw Rook's younger brother had some pics of him and when he said that he was watching the Ben 10 show he was talking about his show. Ep3: A pretty fun one, I really like the Brainstorm appearance, it's my favorite scene with him, also the other guy from the vengers Kangaroo comando is back fro m season 3 of the og series "Super alien hero buddies" when Ben's aliens were used in a bunch of different ways for profit. Ep 4: again a pretty fun ep with lots of minor villains teaming up and the Spanner mystery continues to remain... well a mystery. Ep6: a fun ep which reveals the backstories of Blukic and Driba which alao involved Max and it's always fun to learn more about Max's past adventures and the villain was one of the better one off villains with some great animation. Ep 7: a super underrated ep which I'm glad you enjoyed. It's one of the most entertaining OV eps for me with bro Rook. And this is part 1 of the explanation.
