about Baby Turtle tier

EDIT: I have received an overwhelmingly positive response so far, and it is such a relief to the stress I was feeling making this post, so thank you for sharing your thoughts and for the encouragements to go forward with the change, y'all are making my month 😭❤️

I'll apply this change in August, after that month will already be charged, and I'll also make another post about it closer to the date to let you know. It was also suggested I could add a new tip jar tier at the same time, which would likely have not much in the way of benefits but it can't hurt for one to be there I guess! just letting you know my current plans and thoughts~

I've been thinking of making this post for a while and I'm nervous about it but here goes

the Baby Turtle tier has been my lowest tier since I've launched this patreon in 2019, it's currently set at 1.50CAD, which for the record is half of what Patreon suggests as a minimum rate for a subscription. so like I have definitely not been following inflation XD

with my rent jumping up this year, I am thinking of raising this tier to 3.00CAD. If I did I would do so next month, and if you are already subscribed monthly you will receive an email detailing the change and it will apply to you the following month. If you have paid for a year then the change would only apply at the date of your renewal, whenever that may be (making it quite advantageous to sub for a year before I change it, just saying 👀)

Nothing is set in stone yet! I want to hear from your first because y'all are helping me live doing what I enjoy so of course your opinion matter to me!

So if you're part of the Baby Turtle tier, how would this change effect you if it affects you at all? would you leave? would you stay? would you move to the Small Turtle Tier because the difference is less? your feedback and thoughts will definitely influence if I go through with this or not. like my whole income is at stake there ^^;;

and I'm making this post visible to all tiers because it might matter to Small Turtles too (what would your thoughts be if it was your tier being affected?) or it might matter to free members even (the chance to get in before the raise haha)

this was a long ramble so TL;DR Baby Turtle tier might be changing to 3.00CAD in the near future, tell me what you think 🙏❤️
