I imagine this episode was a nightmare to put together - there's about 1.5 episodes worth of content here and there's no good place to cut the fight in half. I'm with you on it being rushed, especially the reactions to the meteor incoming. Seeing the whole Seretei stop what they were doing to panic, watching top-level Sternritters like Askin run and even Yhwach get concerned about the meteor added a lot of weight to the scene. People who watched the anime the first time I doubt have any complaints about the episode (it was fucking awesome), but there was something special that got lost in translation when they had to fit everything in to one episode imo.

I think with the whole arc of the fight in this one episode, it's one of my favorites so far. Also Kenny's English VA went crazy in this one. "Where's your imagination," and "You didn't forget to harden your body, didja?" were really well-delivered lines.
