Happy thanksgiving week! This is a completely SFW, late-night, slightly sleepy, ramble.
I babble about how you've helped me grow as a human, and how my views on online interaction have evolved.
But most of it's a huge thank-you for the incredible support you've shown me over the last year.

2022-11-25 05:54:33 +0000 UTCT/W Talk about racism I went home for thanksgiving. And for the most part it was amazing. It was really great. But I know thereβs parts of it thatβs always a risk because I come from a very openly racist family on my moms side. She wasnβt even allowed to have friends of other races so I was a huge deal. The second she passed away I was disowned because Iβm half black. My aunt and my uncles are the only family who really talk to me now apart from my siblings who were all separated until they found me through ancestry. Anyways, it was going good. And then today before I left someone brought up my skin color and my body type and how unfavorable they both are. I grew up being called every slur in the book by my family and I thought I had thicker skin by now but listening to this woman whoβs supposed to care for me describe me with such distaste in front of everyone was horrible. My aunt came to my defense immediately. Now that Iβm back at my home and laying in bed it just keeps replaying. Generally I keep no contact with them for obvious reasons but today was just unlucky on that front. Sorry I just needed somewhere to vent.
