No mention of Spongebob, which might be my favorite! Seemed to follow in the early 90s tradition of Animaniacs, Earthworm Jim, etc. by shouting the character's name repeatedly. Your intro is looking great though, can't wait to see more.

Hey cool, a topic I've obsessed over all my life!
One of my personal favorite types of intros are the abstract ones that focus more on character. Y'know, just place the protags in an abstract void and just flesh out their personalities. You already touched on it with the Eds and Tuca and Bertie and KND but my favorite of these is Duckman.
He's a huge egotist, so a lot of the shots are focused on him (and the other characters have broad perceptions, like Bernice being a snake and Charles and Mambo constantly fighting). Since he's also a detective, there's some noir-like jazz to the music, but there's a sense of chaos around it. Maybe a rogue xylophone here, an offbeat trumpet there. And the art is sketchy and rough both in reference to the original comic and to how he perceives the world.
Maybe you could do Duckman someday. Or not. You do you, Tariq.

Pepper Ann would be nice to review. Still waiting for both Maggie and the Ferocious Beast and Jem (maybe Daria if you're still up to it). Oh and Fillmore would be just lovely!

OH BOY IT’S SWELL TO SAY……the Rugrats reboot used the cat robot better and that was a conscious choice because the original series basically didn’t except maybe once outside the intro
