Hughie was tricked into having sex with a stranger, which had kidnapped and imprisoned the person they pretended to be. And not just once, but around 20 times, they lived together for at least two days. You don't have to be screaming in fear for it to be Sexual Assault. In real life this would mess with your head so much, every time he is intimate with Annie now, he will have to remember that someone already tricked him in such a way. You would never fully trust your eyes anymore and probably have some serious trauma from that. Imagine when it comes to a proposal. Now he will always remember that he once said yes to a fake Annie that used him.
